American River Companion Care has a team of caregivers that are dedicated to bringing support and assistance to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. We are based in Northern California and service all five counties in the Greater Sacramento region.

What is Companion Care?

Many seniors choose to continue to live independently as they get older. But aging and health issues can bring up various needs – needs that may be difficult for the individual(s) to address. Living alone can also have its drawbacks, as limited mobility and busy families can make it harder to find and enjoy social time.

Companion care gives you or your loved one that companion – an experienced aide that can support each client in the comfort of their home. Services can include, but are not limited to:

• 24 Hour Home Care
• Laundry Services
• Meal Preparation
• Light Housekeeping
• Running Errands (Together or Independently)
• Bathing Help
• Exercise
• Medication Reminders

Working with seniors that have limited mobility and/or those that are in need of a bit of extra help, companion care provides a compassionate, effective way for clients to have their own support person available – one that is also trained to identify medical issues and provide wellness checks when appropriate.

Who We Are – American River Companion Care

American River Companion Care is an organization under the umbrella of American River Healthcare. Led by registered nurses and medical specialists, our companions are caring, supportive, experienced, and always available for whatever help their patients and clients may need.

Many of our clients live alone or with their partners, and have families that either live away from the Sacramento area or are not able to live with the patients. We are able to provide support for a person’s necessities (laundry, cleanup, and related services), and we’re also available to just be a person to talk to; someone that can check up on the patient, play games, and just make sure that they are happy and feeling okay.
